OvernightHacker

Root access to the overnight threat feed.

About OvernightHacker

OvernightHacker is a cybersecurity blog built for the generation that grew up online and is now watching the internet burn down in real time.

We cover the hacks that actually matter — breaches, exploits, and threat campaigns making headlines globally — broken down without the corporate fluff or vendor spin. If a major organization just got owned, a critical CVE just dropped, or a threat actor just made the news cycle, this is where you come to understand what actually happened and why it matters.

Beyond the news, we dig into risk analysis, hands-on labs, and honest tool reviews — because knowing something broke is useless without understanding how it breaks and what you can do about it.

About Me

I'm Alex — the OvernightHacker. 23-year-old cybersecurity student at Western Connecticut State University, finishing a degree in Cybersecurity while working security monitoring overnight shifts and actively building toward a career in offensive security and penetration testing.

The name comes from exactly what it sounds like: learning, labbing, and writing during the hours most people are asleep.

This blog exists because most cybersecurity content falls into one of two buckets — dumbed down to the point of being useless, or so deep in the weeds it assumes you already have a decade of experience. We're aiming for the space in between: technically honest, actually readable.
