Im the OvernightHacker a cybersecurity student at Western Connecticut State University, currently finishing a degree in Cybersecurity while working in security monitoring and actively building toward a career in offensive security and penetration testing. Armed with hands-on lab experience and a growing list of industry certifications, the goal has always been the same u2014 understand how things break so you can help fix them.
The name comes from exactly what it sounds like u2014 learning, labbing, and writing during the hours most people are asleep.
This blog exists because most cybersecurity content falls into one of two categories: dumbed down to the point of being useless, or so deep in the weeds it assumes you already have a decade of experience. We’re aiming for the space in between u2014 technically honest, actually readable.
